The prevailing belief among the Jehovah's Witnesses that the company never predicted "the end" for 1975, but the most zealous members can read this error message. However, the official forecast is well documented. See for example the article entitled "Why are you looking forward to the year 1975?" The Watchtower of 15 August 1968, pp. 494-501. Given a low error rate, including a long discussion with this thought: "Are we to infer from this study that the battle of Armageddon, all in the fall of 1975, and the eagerly awaited for thousands of years reign of Christ begins?
